Last years NYD entry
Last Years Recap
it’s funny, I don’t make resolutions, and most of the time I don’t, I didn’t think I did last year, but I did…and yes, I kept it. I was determined to get out of that hellish state and get my life back…and while it (my life) may still be somewhat off track, it’s getting better all the time :wink
So, it’s that time of year when we reflect on things that have happened to us over the last year, and I’m human, I tend to do the same, it’s human nature I suppose to reflect on the passing year and what could have been done differently.
I try to live my life without regrets, and for the most part I have succeeded, after all, everything in my past helped shape me into the person I am today, I wouldn’t be ME, if not for the events that took place to shape who I am, and where I am today…
this does not mean that I look back and don’t wish some things could have been done differently, but for the most part, it was out of my hands, as it was the actions of others that directed the course of events, but you still wonder if there is something that you could have done or said differently to alter the outcome…I am extremely thankful that friendships were not permanently damaged when all was said and done.
If you’re wondering what brought on that bout of rambling, suffice it to say that I was rereading archives this morning looking for the above links :lol
My hopes for this year, are for my friends to find the happiness they deserve, for the insane person in the white house to come to his senses and see that we’re not looking for anything special, just equal, actually I’d rather all these ‘questionable voting results’ declare a new winner…but I’m certain that will be hushed up quickly.
I look forward to getting me back on track, taking care of things I need to get done, so M and I can move forward in our lives…
:group_smile

and M, who tries to show me myself through her eyes, even though I don’t see it, who would battle the demons that haunt me if I’d only let her, and loves me unconditionally, and who could possibly ask for anything more than that…:1luvu
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: well, something I already knew was reinforced…the best family is not always the one you’re born into, sometimes, its the one you create yourself
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
“I’m a bitch, I’m a lover,
I’m a child, I’m a mother,
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint,
I do not feel ashamed,
I’m your hell, I’m your dream,
I’m nothing in between,
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way
I’m a bitch, I’m a tease,
I’m a goddess, on my knees,
When you hurt, when you suffer,
I’m an angel under cover
I’m a nun, I’m revived
Can’t say I’m not alive
You know I wouldn’t want it any other way”
Well as much as I was dying to see 2004 go, I can say that I will miss the times that you, Tigr, and I shared this past year. Those were the great moments in my life, those were the ones that helped me through the shit, that really molded me into what I am today. I will never regret the tears, the beers, and the snot we shared…LOL
You are one of my best friends and I love you more than any words I have in my head. I wish you all the happiness (which I know I don’t have to, because M will make sure you are happy), all the riches, and all the love in this world. You are truly one person that deserves it.
Thank you for being my best friend and for loving me 100% unconditionally.
Love Ran =’)
I miss those days too…and remember them very fondly, even though we’re miles apart now all of us are still close in heart and spirit, and that counts for a lot!
and while I am very happy with M, no one can make you happy but yourself, once that happens, then you can be happy with another :-*
friendship needs no thanks my dear…you are the same to me and you know that (or I hope you do anyway!) I’ve lost count of the times you were there for me when no one else was, you may not realize it, but I do, and for that I thank you
Love you chica!
