Yes, I am still alive, much to some peoples dismay I’m certain :wink
Some of you might have wondered (the important ones already knew) what on earth was going on in the eagles nest, well to be honest not a thing, the eagle flew off to see what life was like in the lair…and enjoyed it so much she hated to fly back home :kiss, but had to due to certain things in life that have to be taken care of first.
Its hard for me to believe that Christmas is not until day after tomorrow, for me it came last week…funny how it came early for me last year also…and yes I got everything I wanted this year, and none of it came from a store :smile
I have a hard time this time of year, for me the ‘merry’ went out of Christmas long ago (about 13 years to be exact) before that I was worse than a kid, I loved everything about it, even putting myself into debt…growing up we didn’t have much but it was always a fun, happy time with lots of traditions in my family…then for 11 Christmases it was nothing but a struggle, never in my life had I done all my shopping on Christmas eve but I soon learned to do that, I used to cry while wrapping presents because I was so miserable…and after the kids came it was harder still, wanting and trying to make everything perfect for them, while not having much help in that area from ‘others’ (ok, just one other, who shall remain nameless) I became a real grinch! :drunk
This year was so different from those past, last weekend I spent with my family; I actually got all my shopping and baking done before then! Then last week was spent with the love of my life, doing everything and nothing, and enjoying every moment of it. (Take good care of what I left honey…you know what I’m talking about :kiss) Then coming back and spending an evening with dear friends, whom I don’t think I can ever thank enough for everything they have meant to me in this lifetime. Driving back and finding my house still standing (the furry baby’s left it intact thankfully!) sleeping, getting up and wrapping presents (I’m trying to block the laundry and cleanup bit) and so far successfully avoiding unpacking!
And it’s still not Christmas yet. I don’t believe it, I can say with 100% certainty it came last week…and I got the best present of all…
I received hope…
Have a Very Merry Christmas everyone.

Christmas comes as many times a year as you will allow it… all you have to do is look close enough and you will find it right in front of you…
