My partner

I’m in a online group where on one of the committee lists we have we ask a question of the week, I was writing my response this morning and found that I wanted to add to it a bit more but it might be a bit much for them over there..so I decided to put it here..the question is what do you look for in a partner..
below is my ‘slightly edited version’ of what i wrote there.
its very hard for me to answer this w/o thinking of my current partner, I imagine the same would hold true for anyone that was with someone…
I look for understanding, similar interests, or at least possibly they are interested in something i could become interested in, ability to communicate (or at least try!) willingness to let me go my way and grow and learn more as a person, knowledge that just because we arnt together every moment (hey everyone needs their space..I just need less than most *s*) doesnt mean I don’t think of her and appriciate the time we do spend together that much more..ability to laugh, ability to love (its rarer than you think! trust me), and open mindedness..quite a list don’t you think? LOL
oh, I almost forgot..she must be italian with beautiful brown eyes, a smile that makes me melt inside, and the sexyest voice I’ve ever heard *sighs*
