there are allot of times something happens or I’ll see something that I think I should post about..then I don’t for whatever reason..
maybe I’ve waited to long and it’s old news..
maybe I think no one will be interested..
or maybe it’s just more than I think should be put on here due to prior circumstances..
I read allot of blogs (obviously, check my list) yes I really do read (just about) all of them at least once a day, about most I think “why can’t I write like that?”
..who wants to hear about what I do all day (night?)
..my life is somewhat boring unless you want to hear about all night phone conversations and spending time with 3 wonderful kids
..unless you want to hear about the latest pages I’m building/helping with what I do on here isn’t all that interesting either

the funny thing is what I find most interesting about most of the blogs I read is they are writing about just that!! everyday stuff that they do..or see..or think about..
I started my this original blog when I was in a miserable marriage, several of my friends had them and it seemed like a good way to de-stress and vent about the crap that was going on in my life..back then (2 years Oct.) I updated almost every day, sometimes several times a day, about whatever was on my mind and more crap he was pulling..it was easier than having to repeat it for everyone who would ask what was going on..I’d just give them the URL and say ‘go read’ *s*
I would also post if I found something interesting, and my views on stuff…
I don’t know when I lost that..or maybe I just got out of the habit..
but with all thats going on now..I think I need to get it back..

  1. Hmmm, OK here goes:
You should write whatever you WANT to write 🙂
*I* myself, however, LOVE MOST to read about people’s thoughts, feelings – on whatever interests them. Blogs that only feature news (unless there’s a HUMOROUS aspect to it – even if the AUTHOR is the only one who sees it!) BORE me in so many ways…I think I’d rather be knee-deep in lizard guts than to read blogs like that…
Sometimes – I lurk more than I comment – but this needed one!
I love your blog and I think your writing is simply perfect!

  2. I still love reading your blog, even after all this time… Blogging personal stuff is what makes a weblog interesting. You really get to feeling like you know the person you’re reading about, even if you’ve never once sent them an email or IM. 🙂

  3. You go on and write as you do about what you want. Personal stuff is good reading, lots to learn from how other people look at and handle things.

  4. I once saw someone make a comment to the effect of: “Want to write something interesting? Write about your job. People like to know how things work.”
Your life is every bit as interesting as anyone else’s, and every bit as worthy of blogspace. Please do post your thoughts, even if they seem mundane or boring. I assure you, other people do not find them so.

  5. You write what interests *you*… first and foremost. Kindred spirits will connect & relate. Vent, rage, cry, scream, laugh, brag about your children, voice an opinion, talk about your new couch, complain about your breakfast.
But do it for *you*, first.
The readers and the comments are just extra gravy.

  6. Red Eagle, I understand what you are saying. I’m relatively new to his blog thing. For me, I find that writing about things that occur in ones personal life, is all a matter of choice. If people don’t want to hear about what you did today or the day before, then they simply don’t have to read it. I sort of like to keep my readers entertained. Some things that I have seen as posts IMHO, don’t really equate to a post, but at the same time, I wouldn’t comment on someones site and say this. There are times where I have made posts that I feel are crappy, and others think them quite good. There are certain personal issues that I would not put on my blog, simply because I don’t wash to make these issues public, for others they have no problem with it. I guess it all depends on the individual. In essence, what I’m really trying to say, is post whatever the hell you feel like, it’s your site. If you are looking out for lots of comments, controversial issues will always do the trick.
