well this entry is a day later than I wanted to make it but I have to brag!
Yesterday I got up early and went to the races, ok, the pinewood derby races :smile
you see, my two older kiddo’s are in Cub Scouts and yesterday was the area race, last year my oldest (he’s the one waving on the back) went and although he didn’t win a race, he did take first place in craftsmanship, which is an ‘overall’ award, not just their age group.
well, I’m sorry to say this year he did not win a race again, however, his younger brother (the one on the back) won his second race, (out of three, he didn’t place, but he had a great time!) and my oldest once again won first place in craftsmanship! :banana
at the local race (thursday night) my oldest took craftsmanship, and second place, while his younger brother smoked him! :biggrin and took first! (overall, they have a very small pack)
And I have to add this, before I quit boring everyone to tears here, the “little dude” got to make a car also! and they let him race at the local meeting before the ‘official’ ones started, against his brothers :smile
