Chores

| | Comments (6)

We all have them to one extent or another. I have a list of them which is growing by leaps and bounds. Last year, when DH's daughter was getting married, and we thought wedding guests would be visiting between the wedding and the reception, I had a three page, double spaced list of Mine, His and OUR chores.

About two-thirds of the chores got done. Now, I've started another list.

1. Entice the raccoons out of the attic, and close up their entry.
A. Clean and paint the soffit and fascia
B. Clean the brick sidewalk below their entrance
C. Repair the vents in the garage soffit
D. Blow insullation into the attic to replace what the raccoons removed

2. Replace the faucet and sprayer at the kitchen sink

3. Replace the shower head and the handle in the Master Bath shower

4. Find the leak and repair the guest bath toilet

5. Replace all the fluorescent light bulbs through out the house

6. Replace the door frame in the garage service door.

7. Replace the mailbox pillar.

8. Replace the weather stripping under the back door

9. Clean the basement and dispose of the trash!

10 Clean the garage and dispose of the trash!

11. Repaper the kitchen drawers and shelves

12. Clean out the mudroom pantry.

!3. Rewire Mother's lamp

14. Weed, add compost, and mulch the gardens

15. Reorganize the storage in the living room

16 Add storage in the basement.

17. Reorganize the office files

18. Choose window coverings for the Living room windows.

This doesn't mention any of the day to day chores.

Let's see.....which can I move over to DH's side of the list.....

Dear Lord,
This is your humble servant Buffy calling. I need your help. Would you please send me a hunky twenty-something handyman who's forte is home repair? Any color of hair will do. Thank you, God, for hearing my prayers.

If you ever manage #1, you'll have to tell us the story!

If God answers your prayer, I'll swap car negotiations for a handyman anytime!

You DO need a handyman with such a list! Goodluck in your prayer being answered.

My goodness, just reading made me tired. Poor DH!

Not even the twenty somethings take on such a list with pleasure.

Good luck.

Don't get me started on "chores" you know how I am.....LOL

For the record I miss ya Mom!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Bogie....there's quite a story about the raccoons in the attic. Perhaps when I have a little perspective, I'll blog about it.

Des, I really DO need that handyman. Doc is right....Poor DH! I bet he hopes my prayers are answered, too!

Jamie...I bet STEVE hates the word chores! lol

My husband may be "hunky", but the rest of the demographics don't really fit. Which is fortunate for you on two counts: 1) I'd have to consider you the "other" woman and 2) he doesn't do chores. Good luck to you!!
