Today I was casting around for blogging subjects. I'd pretty much decided what I wanted to say when I went to visit my sister's blog, and discovered that she had beaten me to it.
October and early November were warm, and the colors in the trees quite spectacular despite the drought. We became lulled into the idea that winter would never come. WRONG!! It hit today with a vengeance! We had snow flying sideways. It was surprisingly cold, without enough warning. The humidity and the wind speed made the cold seem worse.
My mittens and gloves and mufflers and hats are all in a bin, waiting to be moved into the closet next to the door. Of course, I went out without them. Luckily, I wasn't out in the cold too long.
Fall is still my favorite time of year. I miss the colors and scents. I miss the freedom of walking out the door without having to stop to add layer after layer to stay warm and dry. It's much harder to slip into the car with all the extra clothes.
Whining? Yeah. It's obligatory. Winter is here.

This is why we are so close. We think so much alike, enjoy so many of the same things. However, it never occured to me that we would compete for blogging topics! *G* Now, I'll have to be on my toes, won't I, Sissy!! *Evil G*

We even had a bit of snow here in Kansas Tuesday morning--with a biting wind of about 35 mph and gusting higher. Wednesday was a bit more pleasant, without so much wind.

Now, that's just rotten! Little sisters can be such brats! GO read my archives, sissy.....so you can cross all those subjects off your list! *G*
Cop Car....it was calmer for you on Wednesday because all that rotten weather was HERE! The snow was blowing parallel to the ground while we were trying to clean out all the personal effects from my niece's car!

Tell me about it! We're having one of the furnaces worked on tomorrow, and it's a bit nippy here. I may have to wrap myself up in a quilt to work at the living room computer. It's right next to a bank of west facing windows and all that cold wind has been blowing in from Kansas! *G*

Buffy--Guess I failed to explain that my shivering was on your behalf. You are surely much too busy to shiver for yourself!

What a friend! You can stop shivering now. The repair was as simple as blowing out a clogged condensation line. He did it for both furnaces just to be safe. It's still nippy here this morning, but not quite as bad as it's been.
Thanks for shivering on my behalf!
