Thank you, One and all.

Thank you, for the kind messages for my niece. She's doing better than I expected She is able to move under her own steam, but she's bruised, and battered. I was concerned that she would need assistance for the next week, but she seems to be able to do enough to care for herself.

She's staying with us again tonight, and I think that's about all I can get her to do without hog-tying her.

In a week or so, she should be over the worst of this and on the mend.

Thanks for the very kind messages, both for her, and for me.

Frankie:

Set up your foot bath for her. I figure if your feet feel good, all the rest has gotta feel better soon, too!

Cop Cop:

Obviously, your niece is young enough to heal promptly. Tell her that I am willing to take a day-for-day slide of her schedule for coming to my house. We'll push it back five days?

buffy:

Frankie, I hadn't thought about that. I wish I had. She wanted to watch LOST last night, and it would have been so easy to do. She has her loaner and is home on her own now. You know how STUBBORN she is (old family trait).

Cop Car, I wouldn't hold my breath on that schedule, hon! lol She gets to go back to work Sunday, but she can't lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for several weeks. Cleaning's out, m'dear. Talk to Dudette. I bet SHE knows where to find a Kansas version of my niece.

Joe:

Hewy girl, glad to hear your niece is comming along ok! Hope you have been able to doge the storms moveing through! Have a good weekend!

Goodness, I am late to the "party". Sorry about the niece's wreck, I was just thinking today how lucky our family had been in that regard.

Quick, some wood, please!

Glad to hear she is just bruised a bit...

Joe, no escape here, hon. The snow is minor but the cold wind is wreaking havoc. I'm having the heater double checked to be sure we can keep Elegante Mother warm.

Pattie, we have a LOT to be thankful for this year. My niece is coming along nicely, and we have every hope that she will be back to normal soon. We're pretty sure the car is a total loss, but that's small potatoes when you think about what might have happened.
