Do you have an alternate existance in your mind? A place where you can see yourself living your life, other than your current reality?
I suppose we all do. Zephraim Cochrane, in Star Trek "First Contact" saw himself on a beach in Polynesia surrounded by naked women. Dear Husband dreams of boats and sailing around the world.
I was imagining this house with quiet strains of Mozart flowing through the rooms. The wood floors shine, and the scent of wax fills the air. Every dish is washed and put away, and there is not a single piece of laundry waiting to be done.
The furniture in the living room is a beautiful blend of antiques and elegant, comfortable newer pieces, and the decoration is minimalist and peaceful.
The gardens follow a landscape plan that enhances the house, and there's not a weed in site. Butterflies are drawn to the plants, and the local garden club has asked us to open the grounds for a garden walk. The grove has been cleaned up, and the downed trees have been cut for firewood.
There's a greenhouse for potting up plants and starting seeds, and a quilt studio with natural northern light. The garage and the basement are CLEAN! The driveway has been blacktopped, and the roof and gutters have been redone.
Ahhhhh...dreams...... Actually, Some of that has been achieved. I can fill the house with Mozart. And at least once a week the house is clean and the laundry is done. But, we have a long way to go for the rest of it.
I really need to win the lottery. Perhaps we could arrange for more than 24 hours in a day, while we're at it. I need full time help.
I think it's a sign that I've been working from home too long. Anyone else would say they can see themselves traveling around the world, or doing things they've always hoped to do, like para-sailing, bungie jumping, or deep sea diving. I need to stop being a homebody and get out into the world again.
Maybe BroadatBat could pass on her writing lessons. If I have to be anchored here for a while longer, maybe I need to write a book. Calgon, take me away from here.....or at least give me different day dreams!

Dear Buffy--From whom may one purchase a ticket to this alternate reality of yours? Sounds enticing. I only had three things on my wish list for doing, and I've done two (and decided that I'll probably not make it to the moon during this life span!) so I can happily settle for your vision. Lovely.
