The Friday Five

The Friday Five for February 20, 2004

When was the last time you...

1. ...went to the doctor? February 3, 2004

2. ...went to the dentist? Three months ago

3. ...filled your gas tank? February 19, 2004. A week ago I almost drained the tank dry, so I've been more careful about filling up.

4. ...got enough sleep? February 20, 2004 I have the flu, and slept away most of the day and all night.

5. ...backed up your computer? February 13, 2004. I know, I know....I'm supposed to do it every day....

Thanks to The Friday Five for the questions!

Cop Car:

Hope that you're feeling better by now, Buffy. Flu can be rough stuff!
What? Back up a computer? I'm doing better than I've ever before done by backing up every 6 months. Sad experience has taught me that it's a waste of time because whenever I truly needed to restore something, the backup system fails to accomplish. All you optimists out there--go for it!

1. Two years ago for myself as I had pains in my chest and needed a brain service.
2. Two weeks ago.....argh
3. I put Petrol in mine but as it's a Rav 4x it tends to drive with an audible slurp.
4. Never have enough sleep. The brain is buzzing and the small people get up too early.
5. I do CD dumps of important info. I never keep important stuff on the hard disk.

CopCar....my CPA would tell you to BITE YOUR TONGUE! She wants me to make a backup daily, and we've settled on once a week or so. However, you have to realize that I don't enter info frequently enough to make a daily backup worthwhile. (Er...CC....read what Legomen has to say.)

Leg.....was the brain service successful?? :-)

I have one of those audible slurping vehicles, too. It nearly scared me to death last week when I realized I was zooming down the freeway at 70 on fumes!

The brain service was successful as I'm here in my resplendant glory tapping into my PC in the smallest room in the house. I still keep the empty packet just to remind myself that I don't want to go back there again.

Ah 70mph on fumes!! Have you and Mrs L met? Everytime 'I' get into 'my' car there's no petrol. Everytime 'I' get into 'her' car it's the same. I am keeping an oilfield in business all by myself..

Normally, I'm good about pumping gas, but somehow that day I wasn't paying attention. The worst of it was, that I had just dropped off two of my nephews. I had elected to take them to visit relatives in the boonies, and was on my way home. I would have been embarrased if I had run out of gas when I was alone, but I would have been HORRIFIED if it had happend with the boys in the car.
