Sick Day

Yeah......I'm having a sick day.

It doesn't happen very often. I've had my flu shot, but it seems I'm going through a mild case of it any way. Thank God for flu shots! I got to spend the day bundled up in an extra sweater and a quilt, and the cat held me down. Thank God for cats!

I lucked out, and DH made dinner. BLTs and popcorn.

I've been trying to read a book, but I get a page or two into it and fall asleep. I woke myself up with my snoring, and read another page or two.

It rained today. DH filled the bird feeders for me so I didn't have to go out in the muck. I tossed ear corn out for the deer this evening, and realized that the snow had come in again. I doubt it will last because we are supposed to have above normal temperatures this coming week.

On the bright side of things, I managed to read an absolutely hysterical week of entries by Legomen Is. Go read.

Billy....I'm following along about the job hunt. Sorry, if my entries were a bit disjointed...it's the fever.

Go say Happy Birthday to Speedbump. Maybe we can get him to come out of hiding and post. Wait......OH NO! It's his birthday and Jamie's PMS clock just went off!

And speaking of posting....encourage Tongue Oil to post this weekend, too. I have it on good authority that he knows his blues.

Okay....I know....those are all guy blogs. Go visit RedEagleSpirit, Jet's Place, Bogie's blog, StupidAngryCanajun, BroadAtBat, TalkWithDesiree, and Ain't That A Kick In the Head.

These ladies all have more to say than I do....and you'll enjoy reading their blogs.

Cop Car:

Your comments are working better now, Buffy. RedEagleSpirit must have done it right!
As to your fever. Watch it! Flu and fever got me into the Navy (Reserves) back in 1980. It took me 6 years to get over that one!
I'm sending you home made chicken soup--mentally. Hope it works.

So it's your fault I've got the snuffles! You need to stop all this projection :-)

She's good, isn't she, Cop Car. T can fix anything but AOL! *G*

I want to hear the story of how you ended up in the Reserves! You HAVE to blog!

Leg....projection is a good thing. If I can send my snuffles to you, then I don't have them anymore, right? 'sides...I've given you an excuse to wallow in bed. Now it's up to you to get Mrs. L. to join you. Maybe you could get the kid's grandparents to take them, on the basis that you are ill and don't want to spread it around. It's worth a try!

Mrs L won't want to go anywhere near me if I'm full of snuffles!! All I'll have is Ruprecht the Flippin' Unstrokable try to lay on my chest and dribble...

Hey I've just finished reading John Grisham's new book The Last Juror ~ awesome awesome book ~ thought I'd pass that along to you ~ hope you feel better and Saturday I was in bed reading all day hense why I missed ya ~ will look for you later this week.

Jamie, I checked, and that's not one of the books I got for Christmas. I just opened "The King of Torts" and it seems to me I might have started this book, but I can't remember what happened. So....I'll read it again. I'll add "The Last Juror" to my wish list.
