We did our part

Or, at least, Elegante Mother did!

I was startled to find that my Elegante Mother had her nails polished in navy blue and orange in honor of the Bears going to the Super Bowl. By the half, she'd given up hope and went to bed.

I'm very disappointed. I know I've talked about them "winning ugly" this year, but I thought they might have one last game in them, especially when they ran back for a touchdown on the very first play.

Yeah, I know the Colts were a pretty tough team to play, but I hoped we'd be champions once again.

As the Cubs say.....there's always next year. Good luck, guys!

It was getting pretty painful to watch in the second half, and especially the fourth quarter Buffy....still, we stuck it out just praying for a miracle. No such luck. We sinply didn't play well enough to win. The Colts were patient and even with their mistakes....played a better game. Boy, downtown ChiTown went from a Mardi Gras to a Morgue in no time flat. Yep, there's always next year...wonder if we'll be seeing 'ol Rex around.

I was sitting on the couch watching when the game started. By the half-time, I was rinsing dishes, and in the third quarter I was at the computer, just listening to the game with half an ear. It was just too depressing to watch. It's absolutely amazing to see the wall of men who protect Manning, while he takes his time setting up his pass. We could learn a thing or two from them.

I think it's sad that Rex is taking the hit for the Bears poor performance. I think the whole team needs to shoulder the blame.

Nan:

HOW 'BOUT THEM COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

buffy:

BRAT!!!

They are the division champs, so you can be proud of that!

buffy:

You're right, Susan! I like your attitude. We have a lot to be proud of.
