Back to School

Cop Car has sent me back to school. With her wonderful gift of Electric Quilt 5, she's made me a student again.

The software comes with a very user friendly manual and a "Getting Started" booklet with six lessons. I was working on Lesson Four and ran into concrete wall. I was trying to work on the lessons at night, just before going to bed. We all know better, but I kept trying to follow the instructions despite being too tired.

I learned how to delete a project , and wiped out all my mistakes. I'll get a fresh start on it in the morning. I've been excused from jury duty, so I'll have a little time to myself that I hadn't counted on. I'm sure things will go more smoothly this time around.

Soon Cop Car and I will be melting the wires with files of our newest designs!

You actually follow lessons? Maybe that is my trouble with some software - I may peek at the lessons, but I don't actually work at them!

Bogie--Had we known that Buffy had this fatal flaw, would we have let her into our family? She'll be teaching me EQ5, soon!

Buffy--Just before going to bed is the best time to study, they say, because it gives your mind a chance to play with the new knowledge over night; but, I don't think they meant that one should do it from a state of exhaustion. You can drive yourself pretty hard at times. Chill! *snickering*

Yeah, I get yelled at also for reading the instructions. Don't let it bother you.
And I also see you and Cop Car melting the wires swappig ideas, pictures, advise, and trading "war stories". Can't beat a deal like that. And you couldn't have picked a better partner in crime. The two of you will trade places back and forth as "teacher and student".

Hey girl enjoy your new toy! I bet you will be good with it!

Oh, comeonnn guys! Lemme stay! I promise I won't go overboard. I figured I had to read the instructions to have a prayer at catching up to Cop Car. I seriously doubt that I will EVER be able to give her lessons at EQ5, or anything else having to do with computers!

'dude....I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets teased for reading the instructions. I tend to give Dear Husband a hard time for NOT reading them, so my family is experiencing role reversal.

Joe, I hope that this software will help me cut down my planning time, but from what I've seen of Cop Car's e-mail, I may spend the rest of my life just designing one quilt after another! lol
