I got a fair amount accomplished this week, and had some downtime, too, but I couldn't seem to make it to the computer.....
First, the funeral for my cousin has come and gone. The Fire Department sent a fire truck to lead the funeral cortege, one of my nephews was present in full county police dress uniform, and two Navy men came to do the flag ceremony and play taps.
My cousin's family were so very serene. I know that Hospice had come in to work with them, to help them grieve and adjust to the loss that was coming. We had such good talks with them! We had the chance to bring out the good memories and share them. I said something to one of the boys about how sad it was to meet again under these circumstances, and he said that he thought funerals and weddings were how most families kept in touch. He's right. It's just that funerals are so sad. At any rate....they did a great job of giving my cousin a send off. All that was missing was the Irish wake....and they may have held that too! *G*
I've been weeding. All week long, I've tried to get at least two hours a day in weeding the gardens. I missed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for family stuff and a rain day, but I spent four hours on the herb garden today. I'm three quarters of the way through with weeding the herb garden and its walkway. I wonder if this will be the year that we lay the brick in the path....
I'm gradually mailing or giving the gifts we brought back from Maui. I still have three packages that I need to put together for the Post Office, but that won't take me a lot of time. It will be nice to see the top of my dresser again.
I'm slowly catching up on correspondence. If I haven't gotten to you, give me two more days and then holler at me!
The suitcases have been take to the basement, and all the vacation clothes have been washed and put away.
I've even worked in the office....and traveled on behalf of the company.
So....I know there must have been time for me to blog. I wonder what happened??

Blogging cannot always be one's top priority (and usually it can never be!) so please don't beat yourself up over being a good person in other areas of your life. We can and will wait for you and enjoy you immensely for the time that you can put into blogging.

It's nice to have readers like you, Cop Car, who are willing to wait for me to get my act together. One day, I hope to get to the point where I can do a little of everything every day, and not be upset at how long it takes to complete projects.
Maybe I need to be a winter blogger, when there's NO WEEDING! lol

Glad the funeral went well Buffy.
Weeding... awful chore. I hate it. Luckily Mr BW likes it. How do weeds often mange to look similar to the plants they grow in with?

I'm totally GREEN with envy that you have a spouse who weeds! There was a time when DearHusband helped me with the gardening, but one day he turned to me and said, "I love what you're doing with the landscaping, but I'm not going to garden any more." I was dumbfounded. Now, if I beg, I get some help. You don't suppose that Mr. BW would care to relocate??
