Since the day before Easter the inside of our house has been filled with beautiful blossoms, but the outside is sadly lacking. We've had three little crocus appear near the front door, and we have about three or four inches of daffodil greens showing around the yard, and the leaves for one early blooming tulip (the name of which escapes me at the moment). I'm guessing that it will be a month before we see much of anything. We'll have to be content with magnolia and redbud and lilac buds swelling.
My knee has improved, but I haven't tested it to see if I can kneel on it. I'm desperate to get out into the gardens and clean things up. Wouldn't you know that the one day in the 50s that is supposed to be dry is Wednesday, the day I'll be chained to the office for an audit! How UNFAIR!!!
Well....soon. I'm sure I'll be outside soon.

Glad that your knee is improving; but, I cringe at the thought of your kneeling on it. I gave up kneeling at least 20 or 30 years ago. I usually sit on my butt to weed, etc. For short stretches, I just bend from the waist (as if I had one!)

I'm anxiously waiting to see blossoms outside too Buffy; but at least you've had some inside where they can brighten your day. Looks like we've got a soggy week to look forward to sweetie...but at least it's not....shhhh, you know what.
Glad to hear your knee is better...don't overdo with it. I know you're anxious to get out in those gardens. Since the day after Easter I've had a bad left knee....just killed for a few days, and now it's still tender in certain positions, but not horrible like it was. I personally think I just need a new left leg...do they have leg transplants?
You sound as busy as ever sweetie....but I hope you have a good week...audit or not.....hugs to you...

Cop Car,
I would bend to weed if I could. Until now, kneeling has been easier than bending because of a herniated disk in my back. I'll just have to see what I'm capable of doing, and do it in shorter spurts. You'll be happy to know that I have a collection of foam kneeling pads, and I'll give a lot of consideration to sitting, where I can, to pull the weeds.
I understand the comment about missing waists. Mine has take off for parts unknown, too. :-(
Thanks for your commiseration!

Joy, do you need a knee replacement? I don't envy you your present pain. I understand, and try to avoid it as much as possible.
Tell me, HOW are we supposed to slim down when exercise is so difficult?! I'm going to have to have DH add a lap pool in the basement so I can exercise in water!
Spring has got to be just around the corner. I've seen robins, and White Flower Farm has sent my dahlias, saying they are ready for planting. And I have that little pod of crocus! I'm soooo ready for that sweet smell of spring out doors!

Wait a minute, dear Buffy--just add on a lap pool by extending your green room! (Ugh! That would mean moving a bunch of herbs and stuff, wouldn't it?)

Believe me....I've tried to figure out ways to add a green house attached to the house, without much luck. And, if I can't squeeze in a green house, I doubt I could add a lap pool, although I really like your thinking! *G*
