Elegante Mother is under the weather. She has that dreadful cough, and sinus stuff that laid me flat in April. She's been sick since last Thursday, with the symptoms increasing each day.
We went to the doc yesterday and he's put her on a major antibiotic and a puffer. We need to go back on Friday morning for a recheck. She asked him to tell me to STOP NAGGING about eating. He weighed her, noted about a ten pound loss, and just smiled at her. He didn't encourage me to nag, but he does want her to eat.
Because of the cough and the difficulty breathing, she's been excused from exercise for the week, but he wants her to get up and move around regularly.
On top of all of this, Dear Husband seems to be dealing with kidney stones again. Poor man.
That makes two. I wonder when the third shoe is going to drop???

What?! Giving up your personal vacation doesn't count?

Yes, it counts! But I was thinking more along the lines of disasters, not misfortunes. *S*

kidney stones?! i was lucky enough once to pass kidney stones and it was the most painful thing i've ever experienced. giving birth was a doddle in comparison!

Oh dear. I'm so sorry to hear about the two invalids. I hope that EM and DH are soon better. And I hope too that you don't wear yourself out nursing them both.

Oh boy Third Shoe....are you taking vitamins? I hope you manage to stay clear of anything. I hope EM starts to feel better very quickly...it reminds me of when my mother used to get these things...it was awful.
And poor DH....those rotten kidney stones. I had one a long time ago...not fun. If it's a matter of passing them...I pray it happens soon...and fast.
Good luck Buffy...

Bod, I'll have to tell DH that giving birth is easier. Somehow I don't think he's going to fall for that, but from what I've read, you're right. I hope you're past the kidney stones for now!

Adele, the nursing duties have been fairly light. Dear Husband won't let me nurse him at all, so I just need to care for Elegante Mother.

Joy, yes, I'm taking vitamins. I've had this stuff THREE TIMES since December 7. The last time I thought I'd croak, and was afraid I might not. I can't figure out how EM managed to avoid getting it from ME!
Thanks for your prayers for DH. I think he's passed a stone. He seems to be doing better. We appreciate your support. *G*

Buffy, I've been hanging out here in the background, kind of wanting to give you a hug, cause that is what I do, when words fail me.
I'm so glad DH is better. My prayers continue for EM.

Roberta, all hugs are greatfully accepted! It's nice to know that you've been visiting. I love your post on dandelions! We're trying to come to a compromise here.....they stay out of my gardens, and I don't poison them on the lawn. That doesn't mean I don't mow them down or use the weedeater on them! *G*
Thanks for the support. I'll post an update on EM later today.
