For Cop Car

Cop Car... In answer to your question, when you were visiting my home, and I was heating a pan at the stove...

The red design in the center of the pan turns to a red circle when the pan is hot.

(smiling) I've been thinking about this for a month, and intended to tell you that I'd looked into it. I suspect the engineer in you KNEW what the design was for, and you were just being polite when I disregarded it, and used the pan cold.

Thanks for the mini-lesson! *G*

Cop Car:

Kitty--For goodness sakes. I've no idea what you are writing about. Who knows what we were up to? Not I. You would be welcome for any "help" I provided; but, it escapes memory.

Isn't it odd what stays with us? I've thought of you each time I used that pan. I knew the design indicated something, and finally got around to looking for the information. We never know what impact even the simplest of our words might have. This all makes me worry about jabbering....

LOL at you two! It certainly is funny how something can linger on with one person and the other remembers something totally different from a time shared together! I have an inkling I know what you are talking about... I do not have the pans of which you speak, but have heard about them. :)

Cop Car:

OK, now that you've primed the pump, I do seem to recall that you had a pan with a red design (don't ask me what it looked like!) in the center of its interior bottom surface; and, I can imagine that I might have said something about it; but, then you lose me. Oh, well. The world isn't going to come crashing down around our ears over this, is it?

Yes, it is amazing what another's words can do to/for us. There are hundreds of comments made by others that have stuck with me over the years. Some have made me shudder each time I recall them, while others make me glow with warm feelings. (Buffy's words always leave me with a glow of warm feelings!)

buffy:

Desi, we had the most wonderful visit this summer. Cop Car came all the way to Illinois to stay with me for the better part of a week. There was SO much going on, I shouldn't expect her to remember this one moment, but it sure stayed with me! *G*

Cop Car, this was SUCH an insignificant moment during our visit, and whether you remember standing at the island, talking about the pan doesn't matter. What IS important, is that it's kept me thinking about you. *S*

More now, than any other time in my life, I worry that my words are correctly received. I've learned that what we write on-line (AND what we say) can often be taken more than one way, and I shudder to think that I might send out words that I can never reclaim that could inadvertently hurt someone. Confusion I can deal with; I can always correct that, but hurt is unacceptable.

I'm delighted to know that you enjoy what I have to say, CC. You do the same for me! *S*

(No cracks from the peanut gallery about the mutual admiration society!)
