Chamomile Tea

For my friend, Cop Car, who recommended chamomile tea:

Do you believe in serendipity? The day you suggested that I try a cup of chamomile tea for my aches, I read a recipe for it at my herb group.

Pour two cups of hot water over one tablespoon of chamomile flower heads, and 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger and let steep for five minutes.

Strain the herbs from the liquid. Use Stevia or another sweetener if needed. Serve hot, or chill.

I think I'll stick with Lipton's.

Cop Car:

Buffy--Funny about your timing! As to Chamomile, it wasn't really a recommendation so much as it was the first tea that popped into mind as I wrote. I recall an older friend serving me a cup of chamomile tea when we came in from a cold day of birding (I was 14-15 years old). I didn't like it; but, of course, per Mother's instructions throughout my childhood, drank every drop. I, too, like Lipton's regular old tea, or Bigelow's Constant Comment.

I generally don't care for teas with fruit flavoring. I'm particularly insensed when I order iced tea at a restaurant and they bring me raspberry tea. YUCK!!

Having said that, I too occasionally like hot tea with a bit of orange, as in Constant Comment. And, I have one box of apricot tea. It's actually black tea that gives you the scent of apricot when you bring the cup to your lips. It doesn't taste of apricots.

Give me English Breakfast tea, or Lipton's any time. I'm a bit relieved to find that you don't really care for chamomile tea! lol

Green tea with Mango. YUM!

Buffy:

Janet, I'm going to have to ban you from the comments! *G*

John:

I've been reading your blog for a few weeks, silent up to now. Do I believe in serendipity?? YES!! Some of the things I've run across on the internet / blog world, people I've run into at just the right time... I'm amazed at the timing of it all. Yes I believe!!

John

buffy:

Welcome, John. I'm glad you posted. I believe in serendipity! Things like this could be chance, or coincidence, but when it happens with some frequency, I tend to think it's serendipitous, and there's been a LOT of this is my life.

Don't be a stranger. I love to see what other people think
