I know....you don't belive me.
We were in North Central Indiana, getting ready to start the drive home. I stopped to fill the tank before we hit the road, and there it was......$1.969 per gallon! YES!!
It seems that a lot of places closer to where I live are starting to edge back up again. I'll refill at $2.059 tomorrow, and I suspect that will be the lowest it will get in this area.

You did quite well, didn't you? Saturday, I paid $2.069. Later that day, Hunky Husband paid $2.059. Prices still were at that level, today.

We won't see those prices in Colorado I'm sure.

Nearly a GBP per litre in the UK... Which is probably about 7.5 - 8 USD a gallon.
I heard on the radio earlier that it's 4.5p per litre in Libya...

Cop Car, we have a few places in the $2.05 range. I'll have to gas up tomorrow, and I expect it to be more than that.
Janet, are prices in Colorado pretty steep, too? We thought the Chicago area had the most expensive gas in the nation.
BW...I think the gas companies were testing us to see how much we would scream about gas over $3 this summer. Dear Husband is quietly confident that we will see $4 gas in the future, and that will put us MUCH closer to what you're paying. There are some execs who are making incredible incomes, who are looking forard to substantial raises.
Speaking of which, I think I heard that the CEO of ComEd, our electric company, receives $23 or $27 MILLION a YEAR for a salary. And that's while people freeze because they can't afford the current rates, and ComEd is asking for a significant rate hike for the coming year.
