Hibernating

My plan for the day is to work in the office, with the knee immobilizer on, and my leg elevated. It's amazing what adding three bodies to your house does to the level of activity and sound! I'm not complaining. Not one whit! I appreciate everything that was done for me, and I hated to see my sister, and her daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend, leave. But now that it's just Elegante Mother, the cat and me...the pace seems a little slower. The house is quieter, and I can hibernate here in my office. It's time to get more work done. I've been eying a stack of filing that has grown, and I need to request waivers.

So....I'll just be over here, playing with paper this morning. I hope y'all have a nice day!

More 'n likely, you'll be over by the typewriter--snoozing with Mr Scissorhands. You don't fool me!

buffy:

HEY!! I save my snoozing for the afternoons! Besides....he got up and left shortly after I wrote about him. It must have bothered his ESP.

I'm sitting here getting ready to wor....zzzzzzz

Frankie:

Y'know . . . I noticed a few times when you were "working" that you were catching up on missed sleep. Remember what I said about a household that doesn't seem to have a schedule???? I have NEVER been in a place with SO many night owls!!!

buffy:

Good God, woman! Tell ALL my secrets, why don't ya! And, I'd like to point out that YOU brought TWO of the night owls to visit! lol

Now, THIS is more "sisterly". Meow.

Cute, Cop Car!

Cop Car:

Awww...I couldn't resist. I might have been more circumspect had I not known you, and been exposed to Nan (via her blog and a couple of emails) for a while. Personally, I think that the reports of women being catty to one another are grossly exaggerated. The women that I've known have been nothing but helpful--including you and Nan. You are both good sports!

buffy:

I wonder if the image of women as catty is an East coast-West coast thing. Or, perhaps it's urban versus rural. I'm not out in society a lot these days, but NONE of the women around me would think of being catty......well...except for the ladies in the quilting bee. Hmmm....maybe it's an age thing.

I don't know how to explain cattiness, but I agree with you, Cop Car....it's exaggerated.
