Maybe just one extra hour each day?
There are SO many things I'd like to be doing. I have a dozen books waiting for my attention. I really want to be quilting and piecing new tops, and reading quilting magazines. I know this will sound funny, but I really want to be out weeding, especially the center section of the long driveway garden. I want to go to the Farmer's Market, and to the fabric store. I want to nap, and to read all my favorite blogs and write in my own blog. I'd like to have more time with my family.
The truth is, I've been doing almost all those things this past month, but I'd like to feel more relaxed doing them. Either I need a wife, a housekeeper/cook, or I need an extra hour or two in the day.
Does everyone feel this way about life? I look at my three sisters, and see how much they accomplish every day, and feel put to shame, whining about what I want/need to do. And I want to do so much more, but I just haven't figured out how to squeeze it in.
If you know the secret, please pass it on!

I know *exactly* how you feel Buffy.
I shall pop back soon to share the secret - in the hopeful expectation that someone will post it... :)

Yep - me too. I finally finished a book that I have been working on for over a month. I still have 6 books (maybe more), on my bookshelf that I need to read (okay, "need" is probably not correct - but I really want to read them).
However, I have to get those darn plants into the ground (while it's been raining, I've been potting them up to tide them over), and pet-sit, and everyday chores, and work etc. etc. etc.
It is a cruel jest from the Gods that time crawls when we are young - when we have nothing to do, then starts racing when we get older and have a million things to do!

Bogie, I'm astonished that you know about the fact that time flies as you get older. I'd have thought it would be a decade or more before you tumbled to that.
Dear Husband takes two days a week to sail during the summer. He's actually taking his retirement early. Perhaps in his mind he's doing it while he still can. Maybe I need to be doing the same thing....dedicating two days to the fun things and cramming everything else into the other five. That might work if someone didn't have to water the plants.....

No, I meant, I wanted to share the secret if/when someone posts it, not that I know it!!! (I'd be a millionaire if I knew that, after all!)

Well, rats! I thought that was a teaser, BW, that you knew the answer and figured someone else would post it.
Yeah....I guess we all could use the secret for squeezing it all in.
