We have certainly had our share of doctor's appointments this past week. You'd think that I'd be doing my best to avoid any more visits. I had a 6 month physical scheduled for Monday when all of this stuff came up with Elegant Mother. Added to that, Ed, the cat has a vet visit on Saturday.
The darned cat has a cold! Normally, I'd let him wait it out, but we spent most of April and some of May treating him with antibiotics for toxoplasmosis, and I think he may need a check up.
Pretty soon we will reach the "Enough is ENOUGH!" stage. I know I'm getting close.

Hey, me too! I hope they end soon for all of us!

Buffy, how is your Mum? OK I hope. And I also hope your check-up was all right too. It's funny how all that sort of thing always seems to come together. Take care of yourself and Puss.

She's still struggling with the pain, and I'm concerned that she's weaker because she's been sitting for the last two weeks and not getting any exercise. We found a drug just yesterday that is helping manage the pain.
The good news is that the home health care service sent a nurse to induct Mother into their program today. We should be seeing a nurse, and aide, and physical and occupational therapists in the coming week.
I'll blog about this when I get the chance. Thanks for asking after EM. She'll be pleased.

The home health care nurses and aides are wonderful. No matter how good your Elegant Mother's care is without the home health care people, they will make a difference. They've seen it all and know just what to do and say--and they can take so much of the burden off of the primary care giver (you!) Good move.

YES! I'm looking forward to layers of assistance for the next couple of weeks, while Elegant Mother is healing. I think that having other faces around while she's house bound will help too.
And, a friend has volunteered to come do EM's hair, so that she feels pretty while she heals. That may be the best medicine of all!
