YES!!! I GOT MY PERM!

What is it about getting your hair done, that can make the world right?

I hate that point in the year when my perm is running out of steam and I can't get my hair to do what I want. I totally envy those women who don't need perms for body, or curl. I used to have a beautiful long fall of shiny hair that just needed a cut now and then, but with a shorter hairdo, I need the help of a perm.

My stylist gave me a cut last week, and that helped, but I'm glad to have more body. I'll look like a Muppet character for two weeks or so, until it begins to relax, and then I'll be reasonably presentable until early summer.

The only other option is shaving my head!

Play some cool jazz. Maybe your hair will relax faster that way!

I think that the reason I loved Albuquerque so much was there only one or two days, each year, were humid enough to make my hair frizz. Every day was a good hair day. Now, with short hair, even on humid days there isn't enough hair there to do much frizzing (the gel probably has a lot to do with it!)

(grinning) I'll bop right over to Elegant Mother's sitting room and relax my hairs!

Glad to hear you got it, enjoy the new shape, as it relaxes and settles into you! I'm thinking it is time for a new cut, a different 'shape' to my hair.

*grin* In my mind's eye, I SEE you bopping. Cool, Cat, cool!

I was cool....but my hair didn't get the idea. I look rather like Fozzy Bear right now....but it will be better soon.

Des, I think getting a new "do" must go hand in hand with Spring renewal, don't you think?? *S*

Cop Car:

I hate to ask, but who/what is Fozzy Bear?

Here's a website so you can see a picture of Fozzie Bear: http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SA402 He's one of the Muppets. Actually, I was thinking of Ralph, the piano playing dog (pronounced "Rowlf", another of the Muppets. He had dark red curly hair.

Cop Car:

Thanks. The only Muppets with which I was familiar are Miss Piggy (perfection incarnate) and Kermit (so cute). Now, I've seen a whole bunch more of them!

I'll have to make a note to find a DVD of the Muppets show for you. The Muppets movies are cute, but you shouldn't miss the characters from the show. I love the Swedish chef, and Ralph, and the comments from the audience (all Muppets).
