Wednesday, September 22, is our wedding aniversary. We've been a couple for twenty years, and have been married fourteen of them. We plan to celebrate in a low key way. Our favorite restaurant is about thirty minutes east of us, and we'll pack Mother into the car and head off to dinner. No dancing, no huge party, no gifts (at least, I don't think there will be any gifts.)
Hmmmmmmm....I wonder if I should be looking for a gift tomorrow? What can you buy a man who has almost everything he wants other than a sixty foot sailboat? He can't sail a 60 foot sailboat by himself....so that's a moot point.
Happy Anniversary, Dear Husband! My gift to you tomorrow is not having to eat my cooking! *G* Have a great day, hon.

Happy Anniversary you two! I hope you both enjoy the dining out that you sound like you will be doing.
Buffy, I never know what to get my guy - a new golf club or some power tool are the things that come to mind.

Happy anniversary to you and DH, Buffy! My guy goes for all of the electronic gadgets. Over the years that has included GPS for his car, cell phone, GPS/heart monitor system for his running endeavors, digital camera....He wouldn't know what to do with a 6-foot boat, let alone a 60-foot one! Hope that you have a great celebration and wonderful years to come.

Thanks, Desi. The guys are tough to buy for, aren't they? Still...I've heard a lot of complaints from their side of the aisle that we can be just as difficult to buy for. I don't believe that.....but...they complain, nevertheless! lol
Thanks, Robin and Joe, for stopping by.
Hugsssss, Jamie. I'll let Gramma know you sent a hug. How's that tall lanky kid of yours? Yet living? Our 15 year old nephew went to his first homecoming, WITH A GIRL! Boy, do they grow up fast.
Thanks, Cop Car! It seems to me that we have about six GPS around here. Each of the kids independently thought it would be a great gift on Father's Day! lol DH is not really into electronic gadgets, and is into computers in the most minimal of ways. I suppose he'd like things for the boat, but WHAT? He's like my Dad....if he doesn't already have what he wants, then you can't afford it.

Desi, dinner was great! We went to a Cajun place called Papadeaux. Yummy food, and I didn't even have to clean the kitchen after dinner!
WichiDude...I have a rubber ducky. I'll put a ribbon around it's neck and hand it over! *G*

That's okay, bogie. We appreciate them, timely or not. Dear Husband is bad about celebrations. Sometimes they come six months late, so I was really shocked when he remembered our anniversary on time!
