Hellllooooooooo

I just had the chance to visit my e-mail this evening, and discovered a message from WichiDude. He was checking in to see if I was okay. I assured him that I was fine, and would stop by his blog later this evening.

Then, I stopped by my own blog to start surfing the links and discovered that I had been archived......and there was nothing to read! So...I figured I better check in with you all.

The two weeks from Hell seems to have passed. I'm gently letting my breath out, hoping that we've reached the end of the tribulation. It started with someone trying to break into the house, via the service door to the garage. Then a tree folded over the corner of the house, and DH spent two days cutting it back.

In an attempt to be a Good Samaritan, I got onto the rider mower to do the lawn for DH, and promptly ran over something. We think I bent the blade. We had to wait two weeks for it to be picked up, and it will be at least 10 days before we get it back.

Then, as you know, we had to have Defer put to sleep. I hope that it was a kindness for him, but it was traumatic for us.

And, someone ran into the brick mailbox pillar and did some major damage. DH used the Terex lift to push it back together, and it was hit again the next day.

I hope the worst of this is past. I'm ready for some more pleasant days!

Buffy - So sorry to hear about Defer, and so glad you had such a great life with him. Your blog took me from tears to smiles within three posts, and today, I especially needed the smiles. Thanks, and many more smiles to you!

Oh Buffy - what a run of misfortune, so sorry to hear.

Hopefully it's got it all out of the way for a long time.

And hope that you're not missing Defer too much. He's in a better place now, wherever Dog Heaven may be (I always think it's next to Cat Heaven :)).

Oh Buffy, I had come here recently to find a blank page! :-0

Anyway, it is summer, hot days, blue skies, lots of flowers blooming, no cold grey dreary winter days. Enjoy it while it lasts, it won't be long before the temperature starts to fall, and the trees lose leaves in your corner of the woods.

We all encounter problems in life, just don't allow them to consume you. Keep posting! :-)

Cop Car:

It's well that I checked your blog, first, because I was e-mailing to see if you were OK. Obviously, you are OK--it's just that ill-happenings are keeping you occupied. Better luck.

Buffy:

You're all wonderful friends!

Thanks for your kind words about Defer.

As for the rest, the dark clouds seem to be moving through, and I hope to be back to normal, whatever that might be, soon!

I have another weeklong visit with a niece, and then a trip, but by the end of July it should be hot enough to keep me indoors, and I'll start saving up blogging ideas for my return, now.

I hope you're all having a great summer.
