Squill

I guessed right. The patch of lovely blue bell-shaped flowers on short plants that have expanded in my grove are Siberian Squill (Scilla siberica ) . This website has pictures of squill: http://plantsdatabase.com/showpicture/16390/

Hopefully, I'll have pictures of my squill for you soon, so you can see it in it's natural habitat.

Oh that type of Squill....phew, I hate small cultural idiosynchrasies...

I checked and squill was on the list of things I planted last fall. Hopefully mine will look as good as the picture!

Buffy, that is a gorgeous flower and will certainly add to the decor around your home -- I am not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination (having only 1 house-plant, and no flower garden but a few trees planted outside) but that doesn't mean I don't like looking at flowers.. quite the contrary, if only I had the funds to afford a personnal Gardner (hmm... while we're at it, a personnal chef, maid, fitness trainer... etc.) Well... fortunately there are gardners around so I can enjoy the visual results of their indulgence.

Cop Car:

The Squill are beautiful--and--not at all like what I am coping with here. Enjoy it (after all, you did the work!)
