I had some interesting mail as a result of the "Two points of view" post yesterday. I should hasten to add that it was just my quirky sense of humor raising it's head. While I occasionally need to secure my buttons more tightly (Thank goodness I didn't write about marbles), I have NEVER spent the evening with a smear of ketchup on my chin! *G*
But this raises the subject of role playing. If we were to believe every thing we read, every woman who makes love is young, dewy, pliant, double jointed, and HOT! The truth is, I've always wanted to snicker at the thought of me playing the role of a babe.
When I was in my twenties, I was far from drop dead gorgeous, but certainly not ugly. I have always been a very forthright person, and my sense of self didn't happen to include an image of a sex goddess. And this is where I inevitably got into trouble. Every time I got anywhere near the sex goddess image......I wanted to laugh.
Men simply don't seem to be able to laugh when they make love. They must have such fragile egos that they can't deal with a woman giggling at what they consider to be an inappropriate time. I wonder if men are not able to laugh with joy at the pleasure of of making love.
So...I've had to learn to stifle the giggles. As a kindness to DH, I'll expend the quirky moments here. *G*

i guess i'm in touch with my feminine side then, 'cause i've enjoyed more than a few good giggles in that area...
your story made me laugh...always a good thing.

Fortunately my man is in touch and he doesn't seem to mind a laugh now and then - and there can be some very amusing events surrounding sexual activity at times (in our house, anyway) ... so I laugh, he laughs, we both laugh - no problem. :)

I'm one of the lucky ones whose husband can also laugh - usually it involves one of the dogs or cats trying to get our attention at an inappropriate time, but at least we can laugh!
