About six weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit a Restoration Hardware. I want one of everything! I came across a wonderful product that appeals to me on several levels. It's a bottle of beach glass that has been scented with lavender. Herbs and recyling are a big part of my life.
I suppose beach glass seems odd, but it's a wonderful way to gently scent a room. The glass has been "hand scented." I assume that means that it has been painted with lavender oil. The glass has gently rounded edges, and is in small chunks, like pebbles, or larger. It has a very gentle sea green tint. You put a small amount into a dish and let the scent fill the air.
The bottle holds 8 ounces, and I used approximately two ounces in a votive holder in my bathroom. It lasted easily a month or more. When I switched the glass today, I put the old glass back into the bottom of the bottle. I thought I'd see if it would pick up any of the scent so it could be reused.
The beach glass is packaged by k. hall designs, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and it's sold by Restoration Hardware. This would be a great stocking stuffer for someone who liked lavender, or a nice "bread and butter" gift.
(no, billy.....you don't eat it!)

billy'll try. Or come up with a different question/statement to keep us wondering.
