I'm a musician with a ROTTEN memory. Jamie will be more than happy to tell you all about it.
I have a favor to ask. I'd like to create a CD with songs that have the word "Lady" in them. "Lay, Lady, Lay" comes to mind, and I know there are hordes more....but I can't think of them.
Any suggestions??

Lady in Red, Lady Madonna (Beatles), Oh My Lady (Stampeders) --- well that is all that comes to mind right now via me and Greatone. This sounds like a very interesting artistic endeavor! Have fun with it. :)

Mustn't forget Tom Jone's big hit -- "She'a a Lady, and that Lady is mine.." And so on with my day, happier now, tum-de-dum, hum-hum, tum-de-dum...

You guys are OUTSTANDING!!
Roberta, I think it might have been the Tom Jones song that started me thinking about a themed CD with "Lady" in the songs. I was watching "Miss Congeniality" and heard "She's a Lady."
Jamie....that's a great song, thanks!
-e-...I don't know if I've heard the Aerosmith song. I suppose you wouldn't forget lyrics like that. I'll have to see if I can find it. Thanks for all three!
Des...Boy! How could I have missed "Lady in Red" and "Lady Madonna?" They're both old favs. You have another one I'm not sure if I know, "Oh My Lady." Part of the pleasure of doing this CD will be listening to things all of you have suggested!
If anyone has any more, keep them coming!

I'm not here with more.... but, that "Oh my Lady" is divine, hubby downloaded it shortly after I posted this comment, and played it several times... if it weren't for you and your post we may have not re-surfaced that song to our current listening list!

Poor me, I'm a musician who has forgotten how to read music. Like they say, if you don't use it, you lose it! Applicable to so many things.
Sorry lady, can't help here.

Des...I'm so glad that this brought an old favorite back to you! Friends have given me and incredible list of songs to choose from. I may have to do several CDs like this. I'll post the list in a few days.
Dr. D. That's SO true! At least I can share my list with you, and maybe we can enjoy the songs together. *S*
