I have reconnected with a friend recently whom I met in my “chatting” days, ten and more years ago. I was very new to using the computer as social media, and friends directed me to a program called “ICQ.” You could say that this was a fore-runner of Facebook. You were assigned a number, and you could share it with friends if you wanted to converse electronically.
Today, as I was working in the office, going through boxes of STUFF, I came across a notebook with information including ICQ numbers and nicknames. So, for QT, here’s a list of names that should be a blast from the past!

I have Ghoster, Buck, Fox and his wife, Allison, Jet, suzieq, tessa and Tex20 on Facebook. I believe at least one of our friends on this list has passed away, perhaps more. It’s been so long since I talked to anyone on ICQ that I don’t know if it even exists any longer.
QT, I hope these names brought you some pleasant memories.
Wow, talk about blast from the past!! You won’t believe this but last week I was working on my Birthday and Anniversary List and was surprised to find I had several of their birthday’s. I kept several but not all. I wish I had kept them all now.
I haven’t had ICQ for years and can’t think of who all I had. I’m sure I had a list somewhere.

My fondest memories of the Chat Room Days was getting to meet you, Fred, Male, and his wife when you all came to Topeka to a Pool Tournament my Team was at. That was so special because you all made the trip.
I’ve also met Jet and Tex20, plus a couple more ladies but I can’t remember their names. They were also personal friends with Jet and Tex20.

I thought you might enjoy it, Mina. I enjoyed getting to meet you, too. It’s a fond memory from that part of my life. I’ve lost track of most of the people I didn’t meet, and need to reconnect with Male and birdie. I hear from Sylvie now and then, and thru her, Clive. It was a nice group of people, for the most part.
