Dear Husband is staying overnight on the boat tonight. There are some joys to being a boat widow. This list may not do anything for you, but it’s made my day!
1. I slept late this morning.
2. I spent most of my day working on a quilt top.
3. I got to touch the remote control.
4. I didn
But you did make those grill PB/relish sandwiches for you mother, didn’t you?
pish tosh…..10 minutes work versus two hours. Besides, I had to eat. It was quicker to grill the pbp sandwiches than go out for carry out food.
I thought I was going to have a second day of luxury but Dear Husband came home at noon, having caught the family flu. The poor guy had a tough night. It rained all night long, and the boat is not heated. You know he’s feeling bad if he gives up half a day of sailing.
Ooh, I hate that when my “free” day gets interrupted/shortened unexpectedly. Tell DH that you don’t have time for him to be sick–to get out there and sail that boat!
Sorry that one more member of your family has succumbed to the dastardly virus. That doesn’t leave too many of you to catch it.
Heck….I went right on with my plans. I’m totally cold hearted!
Actually, when one of us is sick we prefer to be left alone so we can hibernate. DH spent the afternoon on the couch, and I just worked around him.
If you don’t count the cat, there’s just one of us left to catch this dastardly virus.
