….My sister, Nan, and her family! Nan’s birthday is this weekend, and it’s Prom time for the girls. Elegante Mother, Dear Husband and I are going to amble down through the fields today. Our oldest sister, My-Sister-The-Nurse, and her husband (yet to be nicknamed), will be joining us on Saturday.
Second Son is going to stay home and keep an eye on Ed. Someone has to be his doorperson!
We have a car to finish packing, and some last minute details to attend to. We’ll be back late on Sunday.
I hope you all have a great weekend; I expect to!
Well! I’m glad to see that you are thinking of poor Edward during your dashing about. I hope that Frankie has a great birthday and that you all have a joyous time.
You know I wouldn’t go without making sure he was cared for. Second Son was willing to shoulder the duty, and Ed likes him, and is comfortable with him. I was sure things would go well.
We had a lovely time with Frankie and her family. She fed us until we were about to burst. No sooner did we have the dishes done from one meal than we were dishing out the next, I’m sure of it!
It was wonderful to have My-Sister-The-Nurse and her husband join us. We sat around and talked about old-fogy subjects and drank wine. Their new “porch” (actually a rebuilt all weather room) is a heavenly place to sit and visit, and we talked non-stop while we communed with nature.
A good time was had by all!
