I had a lovely visit with my youngest sister this past weekend. She came up, and we drove into Chicago for a show that was canceled at the last moment. It gave us a little more time to chat that night.
\nThe next morning, she worked with me in the herb garden. As I weeded, she cut back the oregano to the crowns. That’s the first time that chore has been done. While I normally prune, I’ve never given it the close haircut it needed. She also helped me plant several plants, and we filled the bird feed bins. It was nice to have the time with her in the gardens.<\/p>\n
\nSaturday morning I took her with me when we went to the Farmer’s Market. As we browsed and made our choices, her attention was drawn by one particularly fine specimen of hunk! *G* He was so fine that she very kindly pointed him out to me.
\nThis is the same woman who told me about 15 years ago that she was going to have to stop male watching, now that she was a mother…….as her head swiveled to watch an exceptionally attractive tush on the guy who was walking by.
\nAt any rate, she said “Fine Art.” I raised my eyebrow at her, and she said she had a philosophy about “Fine Art.” Good looking guys are like fine art: you look at them, and enjoy them, but you don’t touch, and you don’t take them home.
\nGreat philosophy, huh??*G*
\nLest you think she came by this from the Hunk Fairy, let me disabuse you. She came by it fair and square from our mother. Elegante Mother is 88 and she still watches the guys. Her attitude is that if you have to stop looking, you might as well be dead.
