And, Happy Mothers Day, to those of you who don’t have your own children, who have lovingly cared for stepchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, or even kids who are not related to you. To me, it’s not simply the ability to give birth that we celebrate, but the care and love that help a child to become a strong, healthy adult.
\nI hope that your loved ones take the opportunity to tell you how much you mean to them. Don’t assume that your mother knows you love her. SAY IT!!<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve fallen into a tradition over the past few years. My family loves Cajun food. When we discovered that our favorite Cajun place opened early for lunch on Mother’s Day, we were among the first to enter, and have gone back year after year.
\nMy mother has been a little under the weather, getting over a cold, and recuperating from a course of antibiotics for a scratch. I asked her if we needed to postpone our visit, reassuring her that we would go in the next couple of weeks. She was adamant that she would be well enough to go today!
\nMaybe there will be time for more gardening this afternoon or perhaps I could spend some time piecing the last row of the “cabin” wall hanging. At any rate….I don’t have to cook today, and that’s quite a gift!
\nHappy Mother’s Day to you all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms I know.
