…..to leave on vacation! YEAAAAAA!!!!
\nDear Husband and I are going to Florida for a week. Dear Husband is going to golf in the tournament that is named for his late son. I think this is the third time that he has traveled to Florida to golf. Last year, his daughter and her family were along for the tournament, but this year they have a new baby, so we are going on our own.
\nIn the middle of December, when our minds SHOULD have been on buying Christmas gifts, I came across DH checking out flights to Florida on the computer! He asked for a little assistance, and an hour later we were committed to round trip flights, a room, a car, and trip insurance. He felt he could get away for a full week, so we’ll be gone from Wednesday through Tuesday, February 19.
\nThis is where I should insert that we are not leaving the house empty! *G* My-Sister-The-Nurse is coming to stay with Elegante Mother, and Second Son will be around, too. I understand that the ladies are planning to dine out frequently unless the weather decides not to cooperate.
\nThe last weather forecast I’ve seen said that it would be rainy when we landed in Florida, but Thursday through Saturday the weather is supposed to be in the mid 70s and sunny. I suspect that we will snooze through the rain showers, have some dinner and go to bed early, the better to be prepared to roam our way to and through the Gulf Coast area. I hear Sarasota has some lovely beaches. We plan to check it out.
\nSo, I’ll be away from my keyboard for a while. We won’t take a laptop with us, so I’ll have to check in on you when I get back to see what you’ve all been doing.
