The following prayer was the final paragraph of an e-mail that crossed my desk today. It seems like a really good way to start the day.<\/p>\n
Dear Lord,
\nSo far today, I’m doing all right. I have not gossipped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or self-indulgent. I have not whined, complained, cursed or eaten chocolate. I have charged nothing to my credit card.
\nBut I’ll be getting out of bed in a minute, and I think I’ll really be needing your help then.<\/p><\/blockquote>\nI have no idea who penned that paragraph. I found the same prayer at this site<\/a>, and they listed it as “anonymous.” I know that some of you will find it a frivolous prayer, but I believe that anything that brings you closer to God is worthwhile, even something humorous.
