The job looks good! May the roof keep you snuggly dry and warm for many years.
ahhh! All finished. Looks very good, Buffy.
From your mouth to God’s ear, Cop Car.
Thanks, Desiree! I’m really glad it’s done. We’re going to test it for then next few months.
Looks good! You have a beautiful house. I love the windows!
Looks good. Isn’t it amazing what a good roofing crew can do?
For me…just walking around up there I find amazing…I’m not fond of heights.
Ah, Susan, but you don’t see the best windows in the photos–the windows at the “back” of the house. They are amazing!
Susan, I love the half-round windows at the front. They lead into “barrel” ceilings in my Mother’s sitting room and bedroom. I can’t explain how they fan out into tray ceilings, so I’ll try to remember to take a picture one day.
But, Cop Car is right. The really spectacular windows are at the back (west) and north sides of the house, looking into the grove of trees It’s almost all glass across the west side, and the only windows with curtains are those in our bedroom.
The house looks rather conservative and closed up until you are invited in, and then the whole world comes in with you. I’ve been blessed to live here, and I know it!
WichiDude, I’m not generally afraid of heights, but I was really uncomfortable working up there. The 2 x 4 that they put up for a toe hold seems really miniscule when you are that high in the air.
Bless you, Cop Car, for reminding me of the view. *S*
