Gas Prices…

…have now dropped to $1.609! I know that continued high gas prices would have forced us to research alternatives, but it’s a relief to know that you don’t have to sell a child or take out a 20th mortgage just to fill up your tank!

  1. Ah, but, Buffy…we are just putting off the inevitable. We have waited so long to start solving our overpopulation/energy consumption problems that it is inevitable that great pain is to be endured. It is just a later child and the 21st mortgage that will be involved. The Brits, Europeans, Japanese have been much smarter on this issue. One of the reasons they have not developed auto-based economies to the extent that we have is that they have kept gas/petrol prices high. More power to them!
Oh, well…enjoy it while you can; but, don’t let it lull you. ; )

  2. We’re finally hearing your comments on the radio here. I’m sure you’d be happy to know that there are other cool heads who agree with you.

  3. Diesel is £102.9 pence per litre here now, and petrol around 90p per litre. I think that’s about 4 times more expensive than you.
Don’t think that high fuel prices stop people in the UK driving though!

  4. I suspect that it limits some of them BW, just due to economics. Cop Car is trying to educate me. She says that cheap gas will only keep us from working toward developing other forms of energy, while we continue to pollute the earth.
