Share a Square

This is just to remind you that Shelly at “This Eclectic Life” is looking for people to crochet 6″ granny squares for afghans for kids going to cancer camp next summer. If you know how to crochet, or know someone who crochets, won’t you please stitch a square and send it on?
There’s a button somewhere on this page that says “Share a Square.” Click on it, and it will take you to Shelly’s blog for all the information you need.
Shelly, I have perhaps fifty more squares from my exercise group to send. I have to count them all. I’ll try to get them into the mail on Monday morning.
And, I bought more yarn, so I’ll be sending a few more of my own. Good luck with your project!

  1. Thank you, thank you, Janet! I’m amazed at the out-pouring from my exercise group! These ladies have been amazingly generous. I know there are still more to come. Isn’t that cool?!

  2. Buffy, that will be wonderful! Is yours the senior exercise group? I didn’t know if that was you. That was a Godsend to get those! Thank you for mentioning the program again, too. It helps.

  3. We ended up sending 63 squares this time! YEA!!!
And my sister was practicing her crocheting this weekend so that she could encourage others to make some squares.
I love it when lots of people come together on a project like this.
Which reminds me, go visit the “Quilt Pink” Auction at eBay. Quilters have made quilts to be auctioned off to raise funds for breast cancer research. There’s a new auction every week through mid-October, with lots of quilts to bid on. Help them make their goal!
