Will write for food

So hey, we've got a lot of catching up to do. That's what happens when I blatantly ignore this dusty corner of the Internet. Just so I don't bore you to tears, especially for you short-attention-spanners, I'll bullet the highlights:

• I quit my job. Well, I gave three weeks' notice last week. I won't go into much about it here, but work became a situation I could no longer thrive in. Scary part? This is the first time I am leaving a job without having another lined up. Party on!

• My former boss bought me a new grill, I think because he felt bad. He's out of a job, too.

• The Cutlet (5 years old) now takes showers instead of baths.

• I don't believe in karma, but I also don't believe in coincidences. We bought a guy's dinner at Chili's a few weeks ago ... anonymously ... just because we felt like it. Last week, someone did the exact same thing for my entire family.

• The Riblet is talking now! Most of it is blah blah blah but every once in a while he'll throw in an "all gone!" or "bye bye!" or "daddy, go get me some eats!"

• I bought some new pants. This is especially relevant considering the job interviews I'll probably be going on.

• Yes, I've considered trying to build a photography business to sustain us, but I was hoping to build it gradually (like when I didn't have to use proceeds to buy groceries but could upgrade my equipment).

• "Upgrade my equipment" isn't meant to sound dirty. But it does!

• Bad things can happen in life, and it's not always a comfort to hear this when they do happen, but God is in control. Trust me, it's a good thing.

Well - good luck in your job hunt. I got laid off last November, and am not working, but happily so.

Don doesn't seem to mind, and I'm just taking things a bit easier. All that stress isn't a good thing.

Again, good luck
Cas

i have never thought of buying someone's dinner before anonymously. i am so going to have to do that. i have bought unanonymously... but that sounds like fun!

Oh how your writing is missed! This made me gasp...but in a good way. Wow! Party on is right. Good luke T-Bone. I hope you find just what you are looking for that pays double what you need!

Indeed He is and He'll take care of ya! I'd say good luck but I don't believe in luck (or coincidences).

Hey, email me so I can give you the link to my new private blog.

Glad to see you're back to blogging. Good luck with the job hunt!

Good luck! You're a very brave man. I hope you land the perfect job soon.

Congrats on quitting the job!

I would totally hire you! My pay isn't so great. I would pay you in food but my cooking isn't that great either. I hope you find just what you are looking for. You deserve it.

How come my comments aren't showing up here? I left one a week ago. Are you rejecting me???

Wow, your five year old is taking showers already? How fast they grow up!

I don't think I took my first shower until age 8.

Good luck with the job stuff. Sometimes you just have to quit and take some time off. Everyone understands.
