Spooky!

| | Comments (5)

Halloween has come and gone (thank goodness). A fun little diversion, but one of those meaningless holidays that doesn't really celebrate much except for gross consumerism (some grosser than others) and the pursuit of spooky fun.

We went to our church's Halloween-night event for some safe, fun candy-grabbing and game-playing. The Cutlet was "Herbie the Love Bug" via a costume I made for him out of cardboard. To our surprise (and pleasure), he won second place in his age group for the getup. That means I (uh, he) won $10 at Toys 'R Overpriced (um, "Us").

Hey, that's adorable!!

I signed up to hand out candy in my condo building. There were so many cute little kids!

Cuuuuute! Someone is quite the artist. Who won first? I can't imgaine anyone more creative.

I have total stroller lust and want that one! (That is probably the only time I have or ever will include "lust" and "stroller" in the same sentnece.)

OH my gosh - those are just the cutest kids!

What cute pictures. Congratulations to you and your son for winning 2nd prize.

We were humbugs again this year. Went out for dinner and turned off the house lights. We live on a quiet 1 block long street, and rarely have more than 2 or 3 kids.

hat's off to your creativity. back in the day when i was young and ambitious, I used to make the girls' costumes...one year the youngest was a box of popcorn, complete with real popcorn hot glues to the top. big hit. cute.

i tried to sell the Boy on being something we could make, say an iPOD or an X-BOX, but he'd have no part of it.

Congratulations to your boy for being openminded and not a victim of the aisles of costumes at walmart.
