The Cutlet's favorite thing to do at the fair was ride various things that go 'round and 'round. Thankfully for me, he's not too keen (yet) on tackling rollercoasters or things that shoot way up into the air. It's coming, dear people, and I'll be the one to go along for the ride.

Boys wear themselves out, won't take a nap and then throw fits until you strap them into a stroller and roll them to another part of the fair. Then, after buying them some candy, you can see the results.
We had packed the stroller into the attic because he is getting too big for it and normally we didn't have much use for it. Unpacking it, though, he got all excited and wanted to sit in it as it lay in pieces in the living room. We are glad that we took it with us because at nearly 40 pounds, the Cutlet is getting too heavy to carry around. And because pregnant women can't live such weight, I would have been awarded the lugging honors.
And now, for boys and girls who also like trucks ...
Anybody need a pickup truck? The Petite Filet finally found the car she wants, and now we've got to ditch the Dodge before we can go buy it. Lemme know if anyone's interested ... probably needs to be someone local because I don't want to think how many stamps I'd have to buy to ship this thing across the country.

Love the fair pictures! I just heard on the radio that a man won $2000 at the Texas state fair for eating the most peppers in a certain amount of time. I wondered if they were deep fried? Wait, that wasn't YOU who won, was it?!?
Babies sure do have a way of hogging the back seat. Those kiddie seats are wiiide.

Wow, the Cutlet has gotten big! Before long he won't be much of a Cutlet anymore. When he hits puberty you can start calling him the Porterhouse Steak.

Awww! These cute pictures sure make me wish blogging had been around in the early 90's. You are fortunate, you will have these memories a click away years from now when he heads out on his own. My son just headed to New York (Ft. Drum) and I was a blubbering basket case at the airport, and while I have tons of pictures but not the stories that go with them, and at 38 my memory is getting fuzzy on details, unless they are current.
Actually, we have decided to start shopping for a car/ truck for my daughter...
