So we had Max "fixed" on Thursday, at a really nice low-cost clinic north of Fort Worth in Denton. I dropped him off that night, and picked up him Friday morning before work. He was a real trooper through the ordeal. Oddly enough, he was still really glad to see me afterward. I went to college in Denton and did a drive-through to see how much the campus had changed (good grief! all the parking lots have become buildings!). Then it hit me ... a few of the girls I pursued in college had ... effectively ... neutered me. Moral to the story: Denton, Texas, is Neueter Central. Yikes.
Max needs to recover, but Border collies have energy, yo. There's no keepin' the guy down. So I relented and agreed to toss the ball with him in the back yard. Felt kind of bad, though, when we were on the patio and I asked him, "Hey Max, where are your balls?" Woops.
At least Bob Barker would be proud.

OK, so how cute is he? He looks no worse for the de-balling. Quite happy to chase the ball...
I haven't been around to read ya in a while, congrats on the new (?) puppy!
Max is such a sweet looking dog. We have a border collie mix, a wild thing, but she loves to get in everyones face for hugs.
I'm thinking I'll avoid Denton.
OMG, I am SO with you on all the changes in Denton . . . hell, they changed the names of some of the streets since I graduated from UNT!
Awwww, he's so handsome - even without all his junk. Had both my cats done, and they haven't changed a bit - still fat, happy & lazy!
