On the right track

I was watching The Polar Express the other day with the Cutlet, and thought about how far Tom Hanks has come since Bosom Buddies.

On a side note, I'm having a hard time figuring out why Coldplay's music is still popular. A few of the songs are sort of catchy, but the group's newest CD is kind of a lifeless downer full of tunes that kind of all sound the same. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Completely agree with you on Coldplay. My husband's mad about them, but I don't see (or hear) the attraction.

I just bought that movie for Boogie for Christmas. I can't wait to watch it!

And yeah, it makes you wonder what happened to the other Buddy.

Before Hanks made it really big in movies the other 'buddy' (sorry it's Friday and I'm too lazy to look up his name) was Bob Newhart's co-star on the sitcom set in New England at an inn (sorry but all Bob Newhart's shows had the same name more or less). So briefly there Hanks was the underachiever of the duo then, well, you know. TGIF

the other bosom buddy was Peter Scolari. Bosom Buddies was a great show and then Hanks did Bachelor Party with Adrian Zmed which is a classic movie. Remember the girl standing to pee? How about the donkey and the 7 veils dance? Good stuff.

Hi Tex! Been a while. I see you are as prolific as ever. I'm giving "Polar Express" to my dad for Christmas. I haven't seen it, but I trust it.

You know how that is.

I still have your music CD around here someplace. Take care, nice blog, and Merry Christmas! :)

Yeah, I like Coldplay. They take some getting used to, but once you catch on, you understand the appeal.

I NEVER understood the whole "Coldplay" thing. They always sucked in my world. In fact in my world they would have been summarily executed for sucking so bad and thinking that they should record the shit they wrote.

I sure seem happy don't I?
