I dropped my peeps off at the aero puerto this mañana so they could visit the Petite Filet's grandmother, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Of course, they normally fly Southwest, which means we have to hot-foot it from Fort Worth to near downtown Dallas. During Friday. Morning. Rush. Hour. Through typical construction zones and trying not to get hit by flying motorists. At least they won't be gone long, and it will be a Monday night when I pick them up.
It's never easy when they go, leaving just me and the dog in the house all weekend. I'm working today, and tomorrow morning; then I'll go to church Sunday morning. But it's so quiet. I've usually got the radio or TV on to drown out the silence. And I'll try to stay busy doing a little yard work, pushing forward on some lingering home-improvement projects ... bachin' it lobster style.
I'm not totally sure what "lobster style" means, but maybe it has something to do with overcoming obstacles when you're in a pinch. Or the fact that the fridge is running out of food and I'll be a 'bottom feeder' for a few days. At least I get paid today and can hit the grocery store for some essentials (beer, bread and – like any lobster needs – butter). Maybe I'll char some meat outdoors. It's supposed to be cold but sunny.
Lobsters apparently mate for life, which only makes Red Lobster seem sadder. In that regard, I hope my life is like a lobster's. I don't want to have to train another woman to put up with me after nearly six years hitched to the one I've got. And I'll anxiously await their arrival. Maybe I will have gotten something done in the meantime. But it doesn't matter that much.
Have happy, productive, lobsterlike weekends. Avoid boiling pots of water.

That sounds like every one of my weekends. Haha.
I'd catch up on sleep.
Have a good one, T!
Thanks, you too. And remember, once the petite filet starts pushing out some little beef wellington bites, you'll never be alone again, ever.
And may you not get tangled in a net of any sort. If you do, you can cut the string with your choppers, seeing as how you have a human brain, and can figure out things like that.
Your Red Lobster comment cracked me up!
BTW, I touched down in your fair state twice this week. Houston layover Tue and Fri going and returning from SC.
happy late new year sweetie.
