Let's back up and talk about the most important event of the season – Halloween. Or, for we churchgoing folk, "Fall Festival," "Pumpkin Patch" or "Haybale-themed Autumnal Party."
The Petite Filet, Cutlet and I dressed as instantly recognizable characters who are immediately comic and endearing. Yes, it's been done before. It's easy because there aren't too many special props needed for the said costumes. However, it was appauling how few kiddos at "Pumpkin Patch" knew who we were. Don't their schools teach the four R's? Reading, 'Riting, 'Rithmatic and ...
Reruns! How on earth could anybody not know Gilligan, the Skipper, too, and Mary Anne? Good grief.

In the meantime, I counted several Dorothy costumes from The Wizard of Oz (including one with an actual Toto-looking dog), a bevy of Spidermans, some Hillary Duffs and some lady with legs sticking out of her stomach. What is that about?
Neither presidential candidate touted Television-Based Education Initiatives (TVBEI), but if one had, I'm sure Ohio wouldn't be hanging in the balance at this moment. That's right around corn-fed syndicated TV country, my friends. But both candidates, admittedly possessing the public persona equivalent to wet cardboard, were too busy with other "issues" such as reducing the Itchiness of Corduroy and making Plastic Feel Like Rubber. Woe is us.
*UPDATE*
President Bush has been re-elected, and now we commence the SOTL (Sniveling Of The Liberals). The leftover left rhetoric proves why Bush (albeit narrowly) won. Am I the only conservative voice in the world of casual blogging? No Gilligan is an island, but it sure feels that way! Leave some comments, friendly foes, and let's argue politics for awhile. I'm ready.

Being that I don't have a blog, you may be the only conservative voice in blogland. But never feel alone here on the Right. I am not totally happy with Dub-U's job but I still feel he can do the better job.
At one of my favorite blogs (that you visit too), I was the only conservative comment out of 11 comments!
Well, I can't say that I'm not disappointed, because I am... BUT, I wasn't so much voting for Bush, as I was against Bush.
I didn't think Kerry could save the world, but I thought a change would be good.
I do agree with some of my conservative friends -- they made a lot of sense -- and in some way, could have swayed me to some extent -- not enough to have voted differently... BUT...
I appreciate their views... and I'm hopeful that the very close re-relection will spur W to look at the democratic desires/initiatives.....
:)
At this point, it is what it is... time to regroup.... :)
I voted for Kerry for a change.
I think Dubya is vewy, vewy scary. As are Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz.
Shall we all hold hands and sing as our civil rights go down the tube? I think not.
You're not the only one T-Bone. I voted Bush, caught a lot of flack for it here on the East Coast, but I'm ok with that.
I'm right there with ya baby! One of the few, the proud....a California Republican. I'm extremely excited. Now I can obsess about other things for a while instead of the election...
I voted for Kerry. It's upsetting he lost.
