We were led by Major Purchases in The Spending Army this weekend into the sales-tax-free battleground. The Cutlet got some much-needed new clothes, the Petite Filet got a few things. I need a bunch of stuff, but it can all wait. I mean, the extra holes in my undies provide better ventilation, so it's all good.
Coming out of church Sunday I noticed my truck was sorta leaning, and I knew exactly why. Fortunately, by way of Christian fellowship, I had some help putting the spare tire on (of course, I needed to go air up the spare as well). It provided me a good reason to go buy new tires, something I'd been putting off because of the expense. Bald may be beautiful, but not when that describes your tires.
Today, me and the Cutlet had our weekly father-son day because I'm off Mondays and the Petite Filet has started back to work full-time. We launched the day by buying new tires. Then we came home and ate grilled-cheese sandwiches. Later, we picked up a prescription for the PF and then went to Lowe's to buy one box of laminate flooring (the fake wood stuff). Some friends are coming over next weekend to help me finish laying it in the entryway, and I didn't have quite enough to finish the job.
All in all, a nice day. The Cutlet is such a good kid. While waiting on the tires to be put on, we went to a grocery store across the street. He rode in one of those carts that looks like a race car. Then we sat on a swing out front (only $99.96 with Plus Card!). No matter what I asked him to do, he did it smilingly and only a few times got the wiggles enough to make me carry him. Being a daddy is the best job in the world.
Got softball practice this evening. Our last game (Friday) did not go well at all. Unless you call losing 19 to 1 a shining moment. Good thing we're playing for fun. Too bad getting squoosed each week isn't fun! Maybe we'll get better.
Finally, we bought a big-boy bed that we'll get in two to four weeks. I'll post pics after we get it for those who are interested. For those who aren't, don't look.

Sounds like a rather costly weekend. I hope you had fun.
we lost our first game on saturday 22-0 if it makes you feel any better! ;)
sounds like a good weekend!
I want new stuff!
My old stuff was never even new stuff to me. *L*
Thank goodness my birthday's around the corner.
:)
Sounds like you had a great time with the Cutlet. Post more pictures of that cute face, will ya?
