Scars

There are at least two kinds of scars: those on the inside, and those on the outside. I dare say we've all got at least a few of each. That said, there are at least two ways to deal with scars: let them heal or let them fester. I think our attitudes, outlooks and spiritual guidance play a large part in how we wear our inevitable scars. We can decide to get over them, or they will eventually get all over us.

Face it, we're human and we bruise. How do you handle your scars?

On a much lighter note ...

Hurt Finger Status, Day Two

It's still sort of sore and purple, and even with double-band-aids and some tape, it hurts a little to type. With that gonzo bandaging, my typing is also somewhat inaccurate because sometimes that finger strikes llkljklkjother keys. Oh well! That's one scar that will eventually fade and (I hope) will be forgotten. At least until the next softball practice.

The external one's get oinment, the internal ones get picked at for years. Hope you're hand heal soon.

I try to face my internal scars head on. Otherwise, you miss a lot of life.

I follow the timetable for each individual scar. Some just take longer to heal then others.

We always think the current 'scar' hurts the most forgetting when we've been hurt and scarred before. If that's any relief and hopefully not sounding to cliche, time does ease the pain.
I loved reading your blog and I'm a fellow Texan as well. Hope your finger gets better! :)
