Someone please buy her a clue

Several months ago, I ran across an article online that talked about persistent injuries ending Russian vixen/tennis star Anna Kournikova's athletic career. She was quoted as saying she wanted to try her hand (or backhand) at acting – having already done some modeling in between matches.

Sure! Why not? Less likely people have turned to acting, including many athletes. O.J. Simpson not only appeared in those "Naked Gun" movies with Leslie Nielson, he also had quite a performance a few years back with co-star Judge Lance Ito.

The one flaw in Anna's plan, however, was the shows she wanted to appear in ...

HBO's "Sex and the City" – final episode shown last night.

NBC's "Friends" – about four episodes left.

Both of these shows certainly became a part of pop culturati. The former is one I saw only one episode of, and so won't comment on the show in general. I know it means a lot to a lot of people.

The latter, well, is like obscure actors whom you thought were already dead, only to hear they are ill or have shot somebody. That show should have ended about four seasons ago, back when it was moderately worth watching. That's why I haven't seen it since. I've seen enough episodes (having started watching the series from the beginning) to comment. I think you can tell a sitcom is about over by the time the characters start marrying each other!

Here's some other TV shows on which Anna could make a guest appearance:

1. The A-Team
2. Hogan's Heroes
3. The Fall Guy
4. Family Ties
5. M*A*S*H
6. Simon & Simon
7. Mork & Mindy
8. Happy Days
9. The Andy Griffth Show
10. Perry Mason

So true! I hated to see Friends decline like it did- everyone started looking about 10 years too old for their part, they starved all the beauty out of the actresses, the characters started a bunch of really unhealthy relationships with each other, and the writing just generally went to hell. I quit watching it right about the time Rachael was at the wedding finding out that she was pregnant, while Ross is out at the wedding trying to get laid. The whole Ross/Rachael thing in the first few seasons was really sweet and made you feel good, but the newer episodes just make me feel kind of dirty all over. I really hate it when they get greedy and run a show into the ground like that. They did it with Frazier, too.

The Sex and the City Episode was a religious experience......come visit some time, read all about it.

I kind of think she might want to spend a little more time on her tennis game.

Anna could be an extra on Cheers or Seinfeld!

Sex and the City was funny, witty and brassy. I have all of the DVDs. You and the Petite Filet should definitely rent and watch some episodes together. I guarantee you'll both be in stitches!

How about Anna on Good Times?

i think anna has taken too many tennis balls to the head.
