I've posted about this period of time before – the last 24 hours or so before my family comes home from visiting family. Usually, I've got a list of projects and honey-do's to keep me busy while they're gone. This time was no exception.
Here's part of the list:
1. Make progress on the Neverending Bathroom Renovation. (Doing today)
2. Recaulk the tub in the other bathroom. (Done)
3. Spray the house for bugs. (Done)
4. Hose out the family truckster. (Doing today)
5. Clean the house. (Half done)
6. Mow the lawn, mainly to mulch the leaves. (Doing today)
7. Do laundry. (Doing today)
8. Work on one of the Petite Filet's Christmas gifts. (Woops)
9. Eat lots of junk food and lounge around the house in my skivvies. (Done, doing again today)
10. Pay the bills that are due. (Done)
11. Wonder how we're going to buy groceries this week. (Doing today)
12. Water the plants. (Done)
13. Get another donation ready to go to Good Will, including all the Petite Filet's shoes. (Kidding)
14. Take out the garbage twice. (Done)
15. Watch TV and eat lots of bacon. (Done)
If I have time, I need to lop off a few limbs on the trees that are attacking our house. Hoping the ladder I climb will be one of success and not one of an emergency meeting with gravity. Might not get around to this today because it's going to be windy later on, though.
My new job promises to be more flexible around the holidays, which means I'll be traveling with my family more often. Time apart can be good, though, so it won't be every time. They're her parents after all. I love them, but there's a limit.
For those of you traveling home today or tomorrow, have a safe trip. That wish is moot, of course, if you're away from home and lack computer access. If that's the case, have a safe and crummy trip. That's what you get for not having a laptop! Just kidding, of course.

So HAPPY that the PF and Cutlet are coming home. I am impressed with your productivity while they are away. I normally get the "I knew that you were coming, so I picked up three things and vacuumed" treatment. And if I tested it, I bet the video game controller would still be warm.
Aw, T-bone, you're nesting! Well, other than the eating crap/fast food and bacon while watching TV on the couch.
You're readying the nest for the PF and Cutlets safe return. :)
Too cute.
Although I feared for PF when you wrote that line about chucking her shoes. YIKES! I know it was a *joke*, but I swear I felt that one!!!!
Heeheehee!
Have a great day today and a perfect reunion tomorrow.
:)
MMM Bacon! I love Bacon!
hope you had a good day!!

Must you always make lists?
